Lecoanet-Hemant unveils new collection for women

Inspired by nature in its extreme state, the new collection by Lecoanet-Hemant, targeted at the modern woman is titled ‘Wilderness’. The range features pencil skirts, peplum tops, dresses, coats, jackets and pants in different textile combinations. Volcanoes, ice flows, fossils and lava are some of the inspirations behind this new line by the fashion brand.

The designer duo Didier Lecoanet and Hemant Sagar have experimented with handmade embroidered lace, woven leather and silk for the new collection. The collection highlights different shapes in their cocoon coats, jackets, skirts and trousers. The collection can be ordered on the designer duo's website. Having cut work and the 3D sequins applique embellishments, the collection offers wearable styles along with pieces which can be transformed from street-wear to evening wear.

The colour palette includes ice blue, beige, purple, maroon and deep brown; however black and metallic grey dominate the line. In December, last year, the designers adopted a rebranding strategy based on the theme: ‘original detail’. The duo partnered with branding agency Syngal Corke Wallis for the task.
