With two new ranges of thermals launched this season, viz Velveti and Sofit, Neva Garments is looking at a growth rate of 15 percent this year. “Winter set in late this year, so it’s difficult to gauge how the season will turn out. The situation is similar to last year,” opines Vishal Jain, Executive Director & CEO, Neva Garments.

However, the company is aggressive about its new product lines and retail plans. Neva would launch cotton T-shirts for summer made of bio-wash technology targeted at the youth. The brand will also open company-owned EBOs and take the count to 200 by year end.

New advanced additions to thermal wear

The new launch, Velveti is a soft and skin-friendly range of thermals available in colours like denim, santhra, mélange grey and oak white. “It is lightweight and first-of-its-kind in the country. It and can be worn by every age group and gender. Likewise, we have Sofit, a range incorporating Japanese technology Miyabi with oak white, mélange grey and black colours. The range is available only for men and women. Extremely stretchable due to Lycra, its price ranges between Rs 594 to Rs 850,” Jain explains.

Neva also has a range of pure wool thermal constructed using Merino wool name of Neva Mode wool. Available only in oak white, it is priced Rs 1,200 plus. Besides thermals, the collection has under-jackets, sweaters and pullovers and men’s denims. Its summer range incorporates capris, bermudas, T-shirts and polo T-shirts.

Jain says their focus is on ramping up production of summer-line. And for that they have already installed new machinery. “Many new products are lined up and soon one will see a dominating summer wear segment in the market. We have aggressive marketing plans in place,” he adds.

Expansion through exclusive outlets

The Neva range is retailed through 100 EBOs at present and the numbers are expected to touch 200 by the end of this year. “We are aggressively following exclusive store expansion. Besides, we have around 8,000 to 10,000 MBOs and are available in almost every large format store including Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, C&M and Reliance. State wise expansion, we have a strong presence in northern region and efforts are on to increase our footprint in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Gujarat. We are also available in south but only through MBOs,” he informs. Neva collection is sold through its own website and enjoys a presence on all major portals such as Flipkart, Snapdeal, Myntra and Bagittoday.

“We are about Rs 100-crores plus brand and see ourselves becoming Rs 300 to 400 crores company in the next 3 to 4 years. This target is to become a market leader in summer wear as well,” he sums up.
