The fourth season of India Runway Week (IRW) kick starts on April 10 in the capital. New Delhi’s Fashionista School of Fashion Technology and Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) have teamed up to organize the three day event. It will showcase new trends in fashion and lifestyle, and will be a great platform for designers and students to understand fashion.

Students can get first-hand experience of the pressures of a fashion week while watching designers' interaction with domestic and international buyers. It will be a great learning experience for students to see how to go about the business. The collaboration between fashion and education is an attempt to integrate knowledge sharing among young Indian fashion fraternity.

IFFD has announced the names of 18 new designers who will get a chance to exhibit their talent at event. Designers have been shortlisted for two categories: New Gen and Budding Designer, based on their work quality, innovation and marketability. Ten fashion enthusiasts have come on board for the New Gen category, while eight have found a place as Budding Designers.

The third season of the India Runway Week held in September 2014 showcased the talents of over 35 young designers. The Winter/Festive edition was a riot of colors with surreal designs along with an amalgamation of traditional and western wear.
