Pantone NYFW spring/summer 2027 color trend report: the top 10 colors

Pantone has published its color forecast for spring/summer 2027, naming 10 shades the Color Institute expects to define New York Fashion Week collections for the season, alongside five neutrals intended to work year-round.

The selection leans in two directions at once. Several entries are loud — a deep red, a saturated orange, a vivid coral — while others sit at the pale, herbal end of the spectrum. The Institute characterizes the combination as an interplay between the desire to be seen and a preference for the understated, with much of the palette drawing on colors found in nature.

"Blending feelings of joy with the growing movement to connect with the natural world, colors for NYFW Spring/Summer 2027 encourage individual expression and continuous experimentation," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute in a statement. "Intertwining tradition and authenticity with playful and whimsical color, Spring/Summer 2027 invites new color connections, providing consumers with the foundational core to build a lasting wardrobe while simultaneously introducing colors that spark and shine, allowing us to rediscover our sense of fun and letting go."

The 10 colors

Anise Flower (12-0717 TCX)

A pale yellow at the lightest end of the palette, named for the delicate, fine-leaved herb.

Princess Blue (19-4150 TCX)

A deep, saturated blue that Pantone associates with dignity and a regal bearing.

Waterfall (15-5516 TCX)

A blue-green in the middle range, described as energizing and mood-lifting.

Langoustino (16-1440 TCX)

A warm coral drawn from the shell tone of the langoustine, one of several entries named after food.

Chili Pepper (19-1557 TCX)

A dark, heated red, framed by Pantone as a visual counterpart to an appetite for strong flavors.

Rosy Future (15-1910 TCX)

A light, optimistic pink.

Dragon Fire (16-1460 TCX)

A high-intensity orange, the most forceful shade in the group.

Daiquiri Green (12-0435)

A sharp, citrus-toned lime.

Hibiscus (18-1762 TCX)

A vivid red with more drama than Chili Pepper and a slightly cooler cast.

Lavender Oil (15-3615 TCX)

A softened lavender with green, herbal undertones.

Food and botanical references run through most of the list: an herb, a crustacean, a chili, a cocktail, a flower and an essential oil account for six of the 10 names.

The seasonless shades

Pantone also named five neutrals designed to carry across seasons rather than belong to one: Antique White (11-0105 TCX), a warm off-white; Tarragon (15-0326 TCX), a muted herbal green; Arrowwood (16-0954 TCX), a dark golden brown; Blue Indigo (19-3928 TCX), a subdued blue; and Dolphin (16-2901 TCX), a mid-tone grey.

The AI component

For this edition, Pantone has worked with Raspberry AI on machine-generated mood boards and material studies showing how each color might read across different fabrics, silhouettes and styling approaches. The material is free to view on the Raspberry platform. The tie-up follows Raspberry's integration of Pantone's full Fashion, Home + Interiors library — 2,625 colors — into its software.

The Fashion Color Trend Report is issued twice a year and covers both New York and London. Colors are specified from the Fashion, Home + Interiors system, which is used across textile, apparel and interior design as a reference standard for production.
