The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) — organisers of the fashion extravaganza has announced that an installation of International Woolmark Prize winner and acclaimed designer Rahul Mishra’s Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 ensembles will be done at the French embassy on October 11, 2015.

Before launching in India, Mishra’s merino wool collection got a lot of appreciation in the fashion capitals of the world such as New York, London, Milan and Paris. The collection has been stocked in Australia by David Jones, Harvey Nichols in London, Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, 10 Corso Como in Milan, Colette in Paris, Joyce in Hong Kong, Isetan Mitsukoshi in Japan and online at mytheresa.com.

What’s unique about his designs, apart from they being made up of merino wool is that the designs are hand-made by the workers at his factory in India. His business supports over 500 families across India, members of which weave his designs, which are then assembled and tailored at a single factory unit.
