Revolve Group has appointed former NBA player Dwyane Wade as chief performance officer for its menswear platforms, Revolve Man and Fwrd Man, as it seeks to accelerate growth in the category.
Wade, a long-standing partner of the Los Angeles-based group, will act as the face of and a strategic advisor on men's fashion initiatives across both platforms. The role takes effect immediately.
His remit covers product curation and brand-building, as well as input on category expansion, consumer trends, brand marketing and partnerships. Wade will also help identify emerging brands and product categories, with his involvement spanning content, commerce, events and long-term growth initiatives.
"As we continue investing in the future of our men's business, we wanted a partner who authentically embodies the intersection of sport, fashion, and culture," said Michael Mente, co-founder and co-CEO of Revolve Group. "Dwyane has long been recognized not only for his accomplishments as an athlete, but for his influence on modern men's style and his ability to shape conversations beyond the court. His perspective, relationships, and vision make him the ideal partner to help guide this next chapter for Revolve Man and Fwrd Man."
The company says Revolve Man will continue to broaden its contemporary assortment, while Fwrd Man is positioned as its luxury menswear destination.
"Style has always been an extension of how I express myself, both personally and professionally," said Wade. "What excites me about this partnership is the opportunity to help shape how men engage with fashion today. Revolve and Fwrd understand that modern style is no longer divided between performance, luxury, and everyday wear - it's all connected."
Wade will appear in upcoming campaigns, content, brand experiences and curated product programmes. Revolve Group, which targets millennial and Gen Z consumers, offers more than 1,600 emerging, established and owned brands.
