Rohit Bal will be the grand finale designer at LFW 2016

Fashion designer Rohit Bal is back at the helm. He will be the grand finale designer at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer-Resort (2016) (LFW) which will be held from March 30-April3 2016 at Hotel St. Regis. He had last presented the finale at Lakme Fashion Week in 2012. For Bal, this is a homecoming of sorts. For the forthcoming event, the designer will work with Lakme make-up experts to create a stunning look for the collection, which will in turn set the beauty and fashion trends for the coming season.

Bal is excited about the association. He feels that with Lakme he gets to unleash his creative juices to the fullest as he is given the complete freedom to create his dreams. As he says, it is a ‘complete and uninterrupted flow’ that Lakme gives him.

Even for Lakme it is a welcome association to look forward to. Partnering with Bal, as Purnima Lamba, head of innovation, Lakme, points out, is exciting as it gives Bal the opportunity to ‘lend his unique interpretation to Lakme’s fashion vision’. Lakme will be launching a new skin care range at the LFW and thus, looks forward to Lakme’s trend statement rendition into couture by Rohit Bal as well as the new beauty trends from the ramp.
