Trishna unveils first collection titled Dastoor

With the nine yards now becoming a part of global celebrity wardrobes, sari brand Triveni has launched a new label called Trishna. The first collection unveiled under the new brand is called Dastoor. Dastoor is a collection of exclusively designed saris combining ethnic wear into contemporary styles and intricate details. The range created with blends of Bhagalpuri silk and net fabrics has heavy embroidery designs and surface design techniques.
Cut work, stone work and embroidery are weaved together to enhance their beauty. Sparkle, sequin work, foil work are used on velvet blouse fabrics. The saris in fancy jacquard, chiffon, georgette based fabrics have a two tone effect.
In 1985, Giridhar Sarraf moved to Surat, the textile hub of India, to setup Sakambari Silk Mills. Sakambari manufactured synthetic saris under the brand name ‘Triveni Sarees’. In 2011, the company launched its web store TriveniSarees.com to reach out to the customers worldwide. Now the product portfolio has been extended to add salwar suits, lehenga cholis , lehenga saris, kurtis , jewellery, cotton and silk saris.
