Woodland continues to extend its support to ‘WASH’ project

Outerwear and footwear major Woodland recently completed its fourth year of support to UNICEF’s WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) in schools program. Woodland’s marketing manager Harkirat Singh along with UNICEF Uttar Pradesh team members visited rural primary schools in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh to watch the progress of WASH projects in the district.

In the last four years, Woodland encouraged its employees and customers to raise Rs 1.5 crore million fund for the program, which was utilized to improve over one lakh children’s access to basic hygiene, sanitation and water facilities in remote communities and more than 500 schools across the country.

Woodland aims to make investments worth Rs 100 crores on expanding retail presence as well as diversification and manufacturing. With revenue of over Rs 1,200 crores reported last year through over 500 stores, the company now aims to achieve a revenue target of over Rs 1,500-crores this fiscal year.
