Zoetic expects positive season ahead

Following trends, Zoetic has on offer an extensive range of jackets, coats and blazers this winter. While the jackets line have undergone a complete makeover with the inclusion of many new fabrics in tweed this season, the coats in women’s category are made of cotton, tweed and knits. For men, slight changes have been made in suiting fabric. In a nutshell, buyers this season can experiment with an assortment of old and new fabrics in Zoetic’s clothing range.

Talking about the response expected from the winter season this year, given the fluctuating climatic conditions, Praveen Sagar of Zoetic explains, “It’s not very encouraging on the back of early festive season and delayed winters. Marriages, which form the large share of our revenues are also not good enough to escape the predicament. The only silver lining now is our prediction that winters will last long towards the end of the season.”

Product assortment for the season

“Florescent colours are governing this year,” says Sagar, adding, “While red, blue, yellow and green shades are fascinating buyers in women’s category, black, brown and grey are getting a good response in men’s section.”

As far as the product portfolio is concerned, the range is as per market demand and Sagar says, nothing new has emerged this year in the realm of style. “It’s much the same as it was last year. These developments are always motivated by the demand and response in buying activities which at the moment is slow,” he exclaims.

Considering the segment it caters to, Zoetic’s collection is priced in accordance with their buying capacity. While jackets are in the range Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,000, coats, the other crucial offering from the manufacturing line, are available from Rs 1,500 and goes up to Rs 2,500. And the same price range has been maintained for blazers, which are having a great run in the market for the brand.

Increasing presence through MBOs

“Our retail presence is justified properly by the MBOs which are at the moment 250 in number and constantly seeing 10 percent increase on a year-on-year basis. Next year too, we are expecting the same rate of expansion in multi-brand outlets as we are not preparing to open exclusive stores yet,” avers Sagar. Meanwhile, the company is looking at expansion in the Northeastern region and the entire focus is now on accomplishing this plan.
