Pepe Jeans to expand footprint in NCR and south India

Denim brand, Pepe Jeans is now expanding its reach in NCR and Chennai and Bangalore. The brand is already available in over 200 exclusive outlets, which are franchisee run. It also operates 700 point of sales (POS) in MBOs and enjoys presence in over 125 cities. The company now aims to open 40 new stores by this fiscal year end.

Pepe Jeans London was founded in 1973 at a stall in Portobello Market in London, where its founders, the Shah Brothers, customized original jeans. A few years later, they bought several shops, becoming market leaders in the 1980s. Pepe Jeans entered the Indian market in 1989, as a denim and casual wear brand offering a complete denim range consisting of denim jackets, shirts and jeans.

With a long history of success behind, *Pepe is positioned as a brand not only for the youth but also for everyone who is young at heart. The casual and denim brand range on offer is very international, fashionable and premium. While the company is on retail expansion and store revamping drive an the moment, plans are on to launch a children’s clothing collection by Autumn/Winter, this year.
